El Equipo Crónica or Crónicas de la realidad it was a group of Spanish painters who were active between 1964 and 198, was created in Valencia and founded Manolo Valdes, Rafael Solbes and Juan Antonio Toledo, although the latter group broke away soon. The team departed from informal art, trend of the time to cultivate a figurative painting in Pop art trend. Critically analyzed the political situation in Spain and art history. He was inspired by classics like Picasso's "Guernica" or "Las Meninas" Velázquez.
