Erase Today

Band, GB
Alternative

Erase Today started up in Blackpool, England in November 1991 and split in split after opening the inaugural “Holidays in The Sun” gig in Blackpool in August 1996. The actual name of the band came from a track by a band called Husker Du which was featured on a compilation album called The Blasting Concept. The first incarnation of the band consisted of Joe Delaney (drums) Steve White (bass) and Andy Higgins (guitar and vocals). Erase Today released Age of Unreason (91) Economic Prison (92) Velocity to Connect (94) A Big Yes and A Little No (95) London New York the World (96) Colour Sound and Vibration (97) on their own Just Say No To Government Music (JSNTGM) label. Erase Today only played towns and cities around the North of the UK and played with bands such as Green Day, Nation of Ulysees, Econochrist, NO FX, Offspring, Leatherface, Guns n Wankers, Blaggers etc. Erase Today’s Blackpool gigs were always high energy affairs which on more than a few occasions unfortunately descended into violence … and with this growing reputation in the local press a lot of venues understandably were very reluctant to stage the band. Erase Today’s line up always seemed to be in a constant state of flux, people who played in the band at avriuos times were Rat (drums) Dr Alan Pill (bass) Rabid Dave (bass) Mark O’neill (bass).
