Part of November's 2014's "We Won't Sleep Tonight" EP on Intemporal, Erdi Irmak's ability to fuse modern electronic production technics with cultural influences, saw "The Hit" showcase the Turkish producer's unique sound. Retuning once more to the track after December 2016 remixes from N'Pot and Robert R. Hardy, Yin : Yang now features another pair of outstanding reworks from Indian and Portuguese artists. An artist of rich and varied talents, Wilson Costa has found himself endowed with the unique ability to combine club and headphone environments with an acute understanding of the electronic music world. An accomplished musician both in theory and woodwind instruments, Costa's lifetime involvement in the music industry has seen him work as a studio production assistant, in addition to honing his skills in the clubs of London's thriving dance scene and across Europe. As head of AandR for Makira Deep in addition to running his own Sugar Moods imprint with Adam Dilzz, Wilson Costa has also found himself signed to an array of imprints with his distinctive brand of underground house. Thus, Glamour Punk, Elliptical Sun and Pineapple Grooves have all played host to Costa's work. Making his debut on Yang, the Wilson Costa Groovy Dub is a treat for the aural senses with a hard-hitting rhythmic groove that commands attention with its angular, stuttered vocals and intricate percussive arrangement that straddles the stereo spectrum in impressive fashion. Building effortlessly throughout, a rich bass line fills the lower frequency as melodic themes central to Irmak's work, resonate through the third movement, creating a work of intrigue and precision.
