Eric Johnson is a northern California native who began his musical career as a pianist in his early years. After 8 years of lessons and local performances, he began composing his own music and recording it independently. During this whole time, his step-mother, Nina Johnson, was a vocal instructor for many years, and encouraged him in learning how to sing at an early age. In 2008 he helped form the band Your Second Chance as the lead vocalist. Together, they authored original post-hardcore, hardcore, and rock music. Eric wrote the majority of the band's lyrics, helped structure and compose their songs, and performed the lead vocals. Today, he primarily focuses on piano composition and music production.
