Jazz drummer from NYC. He attended LaGuardia High School of the Arts. He has performed in the New York All City High School and McDonald's High School Tri-State Big Bands. He was awarded a full scholarship by the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford in Connecticut to study at the school's Jackie McLean Institute. While still a student, he joined Jackie McLean's band. Since then he has played with artists like Abraham Burton, Andrew Hill, Pharoah Sanders, Richard Davis (2), Avishai Cohen, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Jason Moran, Greg Osby and Jeremy Pelt. Besides his performances he works as a music educator and conducts workshops and master classes worldwide.
