A.k.a. Eric Allandale Dubuisson
Eric Allandale (born in Dominica on 4 March 1936 and died on 23 August 2001) was a teacher, trombonist, songwriter and bandleader. He was band leader of The New Orleans Knights and member of other various Jazz bands in the UK in the 1960's. Eric Allandale's New Orleans Knights recorded at least two singles for the (British) Columbia label. Most commonly known for his role as member of English sixties soul group The Foundations for which he played trombone and wrote some of their songs including their final hit "Born To Live, Born To Die". In later years he became a music teacher. He died in 2001 as a result of a stroke.
