Resume includes: Executive, Uptown Records (1986-1991) Vice Manager, Violator (1992-2012) A&R, Violator (1996-2004) A&R, Sony Urban Music (2004-2006) Senior Vice President, A&R, Universal Motown (2006-2011) Co-Developer, Violators Unlimited (2014) During Nicks' tenure at Violator, he helped developed artists such as Chi-Ali, Fat Joe, Frankie Cutlass, Tré, Skant, Link (3), LL Cool J, Warren G, Foxy Brown, Cru, JoJo Pellegrino, The Beatnuts, A Tribe Called Quest, Tela, Missy Elliott, Rah Digga, Mobb Deep, N.O.R.E. (a.k.a. Noreaga), Uncle Murda, Too Short, Busta Rhymes, Monica, and more dominantly, 50 Cent. Nicks worked with Violator until leader Chris Lighty's suicide in August 2012. In 2014, he resurrected the Violator name with Violators Unlimited.
