Singer-songwriter Eric Robertson was a longtime fixture in the Mentor, Ohio music scene, best known for his long-running band the Secret. The Secret's first lineup, from 1980-1985, included former Raspberries Wally Bryson on guitar and Dave Smalley on bass, and attempted, in their poppy, British-invasion-dominated repertoire, to recreate some of the magic of the Mentor rock scene of the ’60s that Bryson and Smalley were part of.
