The organ by Johannes Hahn-Orgel (1756) in the St. Margret church of Medias is one of the most beautiful Transylvanian baroque organs. The CD recorded 2001 by the former organist of this church, Erich Türk, contains music of the North German baroque, well known pieces by Johann Sebastian Bachs as well as contemporary Transylvanian organ music. The TransylvANTIQs- series, which offers this recording, aims to promote the valuable heritage of Transylvanian period instruments and to facilitate also other exemplary restorations. In order to reach a large audience, booklet text and multimedia- section can be read in four languages (English, Romanian, German, Hungarian).
