Ermilo Alfonso Padrón López "Chispas" (Merida, Yucatan, September 18, 1898 - September 14, 1978) Poet and composer Born in the neighborhood of San Juan, his house adjoined the arch and was next to the house of "Chan Cil" who heard play the violin. Thus his inclination for music was born. Study at the State Literary Institute. Guty Cárdenas composes the music of "Rayito del Sol" and "Para Olvidarte"; with Pepe Domínguez, "Torcacita" and "Responde"; with Licho Buenfil, "Desdén"; with Lauro Santa María, "Amapola del Trigal"; with José León Bojórquez, the suite "La vieja Noria" and the bolero "Dos Dolores", and with Manuel Burgos Vallina, "Botoncito de Azahar". He himself played the boleros "Miedo De Amar" and "Otoño En Flor", the jarana "La cochinita pibil" and the dance "Imposibles" which won the second prize at the Cordemex Festival-Contest in 1976.
