Escarlatina Obsessiva, band formed in 2006 in the mystical town of São Thomé das Letras, Brazil. It were there, in the middle of the freezing mountains of São Thomé that Karolina and Zaf formed the band that always kept the same members: Karolina Escarlatina on vocals and bass and Zaf on guitars, keyboards and e-drums. They started doing shows on a local bar, versions from other post punk / punk bands. In 2007 they recorded the debut album named Chants of Lethe and started the first gigs as Escarlatina Obsessiva. In these 7 years they recorded 5 albuns: Chants of Lethe, Blossomy Parks, Pandemic, Endemic and The Organ Grinder Songs. The last 3 albuns are available for free download on french netlabel Zorch Factory. The band is tottaly supporter of D.I.Y. style; they produce their own albuns, videos, T-shirts and Festival (aka Woodgothic). Escarlatina Obsessiva already shared the stage with many bands and artist from brazilian and outside goth-punk-deathrock-post punk-EBM scene: Plastic Noise Experience, Serpents and Bettina Koster from Germany, Dive (Belgium), The Cemetary Girlz (France), Los Carniceros del Norte (Spain), ATTRITION (UK), Espejos Muertos (Chile), Hemophilia (Equador), Sullen Serenade (USA) and many others...With Sullen Serenade (Texas, USA) they did a mini tour in Brazil, in 2012. The band is in some complations from Brazil and outside (Wrapped by Bats, De Profundis, Zoundbies, Death to Glitter, Smoke and Spotlight, etc). They also produced a tribute to the great californian legend T.S.O.L. with brazilian post punk / punk bands.
