Not just another rapper, Gabriel Santana known professionally as Espada is known as a "Lyrical Prophet." Espada's passion in not only visible in his music and ministry but in his daily living. He is a loving husband to his wife(Dee), and dedicated father to his two sons and faithful member of his church, Calvary Worship Center. Under the covering of his Pastors Herson & Valerie Gonzalez Espada has emerged as a voice for this generation. His story touches the masses as he shares what the Lord has done in his 28 years of life. Having overcome poverty, addiction and many other struggles Espada’s music allows the listener to not just hear about the hope we find in Jesus Christ but to actually see a billboard of God’s glory in the man behind the music. Espada’s self produced music is a great mix of Hip Hop & R&B. With his Puerto Rican heritage Espada is able to minister in both English and Spanish. Espada’s music often causes the “Older” church folks to re-think their stand on hip hop and the church, while causing the un-churched folks to listen harder and re-evaluate their personal spiritual walk. Song’s like “Promise Love”, and the heart touching “Lil’ Tony” are crowd favorites. Whether it is a concert, outreach event, youth revival, or any other special event Espada's music is the perfect fit. In the future Espada plans on continuing in music by producing for others, opening a graphic design firm, releasing a book of rhymes, and turning the fan favorite “Lil Tony” into a stage play.
