A.k.a. Estanislao Marco Valls
Spanish composer and guitarist (La Vall d’Uixó, Castellón, 17 May 1873 - Valencia, 22 June 1954). He was one of the outstanding students of Francisco Tárrega. He teached to Narciso Yepes. He was part of the Quartet of Pulse and Plectrum "El Turia" with his brothers Manuel, Teresa, Magendia and Emilio at the end of the 19th century. He founded and directed the "Rondalla Valenciana" of the Musical Instructional Center of Benimamet and the "Rondalla Segarra" of Vall d'Uixó. The musical production of Estanislao Marco known until very recently was only nine works until recently about 50 original compositions for guitar and more than 130 arrangements and transcriptions, dating from 1901 to 1953, appeared on April 30, 2000 at the Rastro de Valencia. He traveled throughout Europe and Africa performing before the czars of Russia and the kings Don Alfonso XIII and Doña Victoria Eugenia, receiving the Commendation of Isabel the Catholic. He was a teacher of guitarists such as Narciso Yepes, who began in the study of the guitar, Patricio Galindo, Josefina Cruzado and Josefina Gil, among many others.
