Dead Beat Records PO BOX 361392 Cleveland, OH 44136 DEAD-BEAT-RECORDS.COM (Written underneath the thumb-prints.) "Rick Best The Poet" is a song about a local New Haven, CT celebrity that calls himself, "Rick Best The Poet" and makes himself known mostly through street interactions and by calling into the local college radio station (88.7FM WNHU at the University of New Haven) where Mark was actively involved for many years while attending the University and for a little while after graduating. "Rick Best The Poet" was released in 2009. A few years later on May 31, 2017 Rick Best The Poet was stabbed to death after he and two other men approached someone who was allegedly yelling racial slurs at two young Muslim women in Portland, OR.
