The source material for these pieces are recordings of short improvisations on kalimba played in meetings with Armelle Six during "The End of the Search" tour throughout Europe in 2014. They were all recorded simply on phones or laptops together with sounds in the environment. The recordings were selected, arranged and processed intuitively. No other source material was used. Within this simplicity and absence of control, 8 pieces of kalimba ambience emerged. The experience that these sounds communicate is the freedom from ordering or controlling anything at all, simply letting everything be while resting in the effortless peace that is our natural state.
