A.k.a. Etherna

Etherna is a band from Campana, Buenos Aires, Argentina. They play melodic Heavy Metal influenced by Gothic Metal bands such as HIM (2) and Charon (2) to heavier stuff like In Flames or Tool (2). They started back in 2002, reaching their most stable line up by 2004 with Mariano Macchi on vocals, Carlos Galazzo on guitars and backing vocals, Jorge Artucio on drums, Hernando Pereyra on keyboards and Sofia Recalde on bass. They released their first EP on 2006. It was very well received by the fans and the critics. On May 2008 drummer Jorge Artucio left the band and Javier Cuello (2) took his place. On August 2008 they played a show at "Acatraz" with Thomas Vikström and Christian Vidal (2) as guests. After this show the guitar player auditioned for Therion The band went on to release their first album "Avidya" in 2011. That year, the band split up.
