In 1951, R&B vocal group, The Five Keys, had their biggest R&B hit with their version of the song, hitting number one on the R&B chart for four non-consecutive weeks. Track # 9 (monkeyboxing.com): Soul Girl was Jeanne & The Darlings 1968 response to Sam & Dave’s massive Isaac Hayes/ David Porter-penned Soul Man hit from 1967. Track # 11 not on Tracklist.
