Ettore Bonelli studied violin with Francesco De Guarneri (1867-1927) and composition with Mezio Agostini (1875-1944) at the Conservatorio Benedetto Marcello in Venice, where he graduated at the age of eighteen. Later he devoted himself to teaching and to the concert scene. Has made many transcriptions and revisions of Baroque music and classical Italian among which the famous Concerto in C minor for oboe and orchestra by Benedetto Marcello, the Sonatas in Four of Gioacchino Rossini (Ed. Zanibon - Padua), and works of Giuseppe Tartini, Luigi Borghi, Happy Gardens, Arcangelo Corelli; also he has written and published several collections of violin music for teaching purposes.
