Euthymia began July 2008 with the goal of creating rock opera which combines the elements of literature, theater, and music. Members of the project are Alan Brunetta (drums, composer, musical arranger), Umberto Poli (author of the lyrics), and Dario Mecca Aleina (keyboards, composer, arranger and sound engineer)--essential parts to devise a collective work, giving free rein to literary creativity, musical invention, and technical research. Through additional collaborations (singer Chiara Raggi, bassist Angelo Ieva, and actors Sax Nicosia and Fabio Marchisio), the sound of Euthymia is enriched with different colors. The music pays homage to the classic sound of international progressive rock, but especially Italian progressive rock.
