They were for a very long the best kept secret of portuguese independant music. Truly loved by the underground artistic scene, almost arising to the status of a cult band, the EVOLS have managed to create a sound very difficult to categorize: shoegaze, post-rock, indie or noise were some of genres used to describe the band’s sound. Starting off as a guitar-trio, the band recently evolved to a quintet, adding bass guitar and drums to the original line-up, thus beginning a new creative phase. So, after long and strenuous work, the sophomore album “II” is being released by WASSER BASSIN, and it will certainly become one of finest indie records of 2015. The previously released singles “Shelter” and “Kindness And Talk” show us a band deeply rooted in the origins of rock, but heading for a new and hidden psychedelic paradise of sound. You really must follow the path the EVOLS are treading!
