FVLCRVM is one of the few names bringing long-forgotten Eastern Europe back on the musical map. Growing up playing guitar and touring with the band at church was only one of the experiences that gave him a solid foundation in seamlessly blending Jersey Club, Footwork, and Future Beats. But it’s his love for black music and film scores that makes his tracks really stand out. It’s hard not to hear something soulful coming out of any one of his energetic compositions. 2014 served as an incredible first year for FVLCRVM — one in which he stood beside some of the top producers from Vienna and Warsaw and was booked by promoters from some of the biggest and most influential festivals in his country. Written in the not-so-well-known city of Bratislava, his debut EP, “Notch”, made its way to the dance floors of Tokyo to LA thanks to the power of SoundCloud. Two months after its release he was picked to take part at Red Bull Bass Camp and soon after won Norwegian-pop-singer Samsaya’s remix competition. His recognition grew and his work’s been recognized by producers (813, Pomo, Sivey, Chloe Martini) and radio DJs (Complexion London, FM4 Davidecks Vienna, Souletiquette Dublin). His live sets are full of tight cuts, loops, sampling, and invisible tempo changes which keep the crowds bouncing up until the very last minute of his sets.
