Electronic (Experimental)
From within a studio in the middle of the woods outside of a small Canadian town comes a big sound. FWLR's musical tastes matched those of the big city but his ability to escape in person seemed unlikely. Instead he created a studio in the middle of the forest where he could explore his own brand of Electronic music. His main connection to the outside world being a shoddy internet connection, FWLR listens to music either from his studio or from his cars. Rarely hitting clubs or festivals his attendance has been through the music, not the venue. He draws inspiration from heroes such as Savant, BT, Aphex Twin and Knife Party, and blends melodic emotion with raw drums and sound design. Layering hundreds of elements and pushing his computer to the limit gives the listener a chance to experience each track slightly different each time they listen. This complexity is a glimpse into his overactive mind at work. It seems like an unlikely place for electronic music to come from but the forest has become his home. He sees this isolation not as a curse, but instead as a way to create his own mark on the music scene; an observation while looking in from the point of view of an Outsider.
