REVIEW FROM HARMONICA WORLD 29 by Roger Trobridge FABRIZIO POGGI & CHICKEN MAMBO – LIVE IN TEXAS Rob Paparozzi dedicated his column in the Feb issue of Harmonica World to Fabrizio’s trip to the USA to produce his album, Spirit and Freedom. Each track on the album was recorded by Chicken Mambo with a guest artist -Charlie Musselwhite, Mickey Raphael, Guy Davis, lots of great musicians, music and singers. It is a very special album. Chicken Mambo is Fabrizio’s band and he has just released the album Live in Texas. It has a CD and a DVD. All the tracks but one are written by Fabrizio and local musicians joined in on accordion, piano and vocals. It has a great Texas feel. The pace could be a little quicker at times, as there are strange montages, but the best parts are the performances.
