Factory 81 was a nu-metal band from Detroit, which was formed in 1997. The band changed their name 7 times, and Factory 81 also had a lot of different members until the band was completed in 1998. The debut album, Mankind, was released in 1999, after the band released a lot of demo cassettes and cds. Their debut was actually called “Manking“, but the designer of the CD had written Mankind, instead of Manking. After leaving their label, and their second, the band had already finished the second long play, but F81 disbanded, because their bass player and their drummer left the band. The previous bandnames of F81 in the right order: Sweet Revenge, Deed, Bad Obssesion, One World, Undone, Stain, Stereo Sludge, Factory 81
