Austrian duo Christian Stepan and Manuel Ziebart, otherwise known as “Faible & Konfusion“, have been working together since 2009. Both set out on their musical journey at an early age. Faible started off by learning to play the blues-guitar, inspired by his father, and he soon started experimenting with recording, processing, producing beats, breaks and bass-lines for his guitar-riffs. He got into drum&bass/jungle at a legendary DJ Hype & Aphrodite Party, and from then on he was deeply into producing drum & bass and all kinds of electronic music. Manuel Ziebart, aka Konfusion, had his first impressions of music from listening to his grandmother’s records. He went out and got his first turntables and he has been collecting vinyl ever since. After discovering Drum & Bass in the late 90’s, he then started deejaying and co-promoted a monthly club-night called “Cloud 9“ alongside DJ Intoxicated, in an effort to bring a more interesting and musical sound to the D&B nights in Vienna.
