A.k.a. Godflesh
Formed in 1982 by Paul Neville and Ben Green, Fall of Because gained a third member in 1983 when Justin Broadrick joined. They developed in parallel with Napalm Death, for whom a young Justin also played and often performed live with them (Napalm Death members Mick Harris and Nik Bullen guested on FoB's track 'Fight Show'). Over the next four years, the trio wrote a lot of material that became the base of much early Godflesh. The band disintegrated in 1987 when Justin left Napalm Death to play drums for Head Of David, but got back together soon after and changed their name to Godflesh. The band took it's name from a Killing Joke song (The Fall Of Because).
