Fatal Morgana was a Dutch duo from Amsterdam. Mr Fact and E. Smidt met each other at the end of 1988, put their equipment together and made their first record. Mr Fact started with this kind of music in 1984 as a DJ in several underground clubs in Amsterdam, where he played music like Front 242, D.A.F., Nitzer Ebb, Laibach, Test Dept, Portion Control, etc. but also Dead Can Dance and In The Nursery. E. Smidt started playing on some old analogue equipment in 1985, purely for fun. He is influenced by Divine, Depeche Mode and of course Front 242.
