Singer of World and Folk
A.k.a. Fawzy Al-Aiedy
Iraqi singer, songwriter and musician. His specialist instruments are the oud and oboe. Born during the 1950s in Basra, Iraq (his parents forgot to note his date of birth). He studied at the School of Fine Arts where he studied Western classical music on the oboe and traditional music on the oud. He graduated in 1968, a period of political unrest in his country. In 1971, following a period of national service, he left Iraq for France. He entered the Ecole Nationale de Musique de Boulogne-Billancourt where he graduated in 1976. He is now resident in Paris, France.
