A.k.a. Joris Feiertag Hamertje Tik
Drummer and producer Joris Feiertag (March 25th 1988) lives for music. He produces soulful electronic music under the alias 'Hamertje Tik' and plays the drums in his one-man live act. Feiertag began playing the drums at the age of 11. While studying drums at the Conservatory of Amsterdam he discovered his musical niche in producing. His tracks are soulful and electronic compromised of a mix of 2-step, (broken) beats, UK bass, deep synths, and catchy vocals. The concept of Hamertje Tik was born 2010 and in 2011 he released his first EP 'Memories. In a unique live show Feiertag accompanies his own tracks while VJ VeeMee (a.k.a. Michelle van Mil) creates a visual feast. Hamertje Tik has played at renowned events such as Amsterdam Dance Events (2012/2013) and the Popronde in 2012, IamtheCity Festival, as well as shows in venues like Melkweg in Amsterdam and Patronaat in Haarlem. Hamertje Tik has gotten attention from 3voor12, Radio 6, Fresh FM, Brussel FM, played live at Nachtegiel on 3FM, recorded at the Redbull Studio's in Amsterdam and was featured in Home Recording magazine. The summer of 2013 brought the exciting release of the new EP 'Get 'M'. This fresh sounding EP is inspired by broken beat producers, such as Dego (4Hero) and Seiji (Bugz in the Attic) as well as new-school producers like Bonobo, James Blake, and SBTRKT. The release is followed up by new shows throughout the Netherlands and takes Hamertje Tik on tour with 'Kraak & Smaak' in December 2013. Hamertje Tik promises to be one of the most exciting and refreshing young Dutch electronic producers.
