Spanish-Catalan composer, musicologist and conductor (19 February 1841, Tortosa – 19 August 1922, Barcelona). He was teacher of Enrique Granados, Manuel de Falla and Roberto Gerhard, among others, and was also a collector of Spanish folk music, as well as editor of Tomás Luis De Victoria's œuvre.
