A.k.a. Fernando María Larruquert Aguirre

Spanish film maker, director and photographer (Irún, Guipúzcoa, País Vasco, 1934 - 20 de octubre de 2016). His artistic beginnings are linked to the world of music. He founded and directed the choir Alaiki (1950) and the Choir Irunesa de Cámara (1959). His career with the Irunese Chamber Choir is marked by success as under his baton he won such important prizes as the Second World Prize of choirs in Lille (1962), the First National Prize of Coral Direction (1963) and the First Prize National Association of Corruption (1964). In 1962 Charles de Gaulle, president of the French Republic, awarded the artist irundarra the Gold Medal to French Cultural Merit.
