Feysal Haji was born in 1992 in the city of Gadabi Hasasa, West Arsi Zone in Oromiyaa, where he also grew up. When he was a young boy of age 8 or 9, he started singing at school functions. He grew up musically by singing songs by Abebe Abishu, and Dr. Ali Bira had a great influence on building his career. At the young age of 16, he became the lead singer of the Burqituu Band, which he had sung with for three years until his departure to the U.S.
