Filotei Hymnologist was a monk who lived in the Romanian Country at the end of sec. XIV - beginning. XV. He is among the first hymnologists known Romanian monasteries. He founded the first school of calligraphers and scribe of the Romanian Country, Cozia Monastery, founded by Mircea cel Batran.
