In preparation for the FINIS MUNDI festival of experimental electronics, I had gotten the idea of creating a device whose basic factor would be everyday light. As the thought hatched in my mind, the solution was not long in coming. What emerged as key elements were special gyroscopes, with a surface area sensitive to intense light. If the required amount of light was present, they'd start to spin. 2 of these special gyroscopes were placed on 2 different surfaces (more exactly, a couple of plates - ceramic and wood). The sound was picked up by contact microphones and passed through a chain of effects, while using radio as well. To my regret... the device was not implemented, after having realized that it is rather complicated to configure, let alone highly unpredictable to manage. The whole thing had sunk into oblivion, and the performance took place with other material... Months later, to my surprise, I found a few records of my experiments with light.
