American illustrator and artist, born 1933 in Pointe Noire, Louisiana; died April 6, 2002. He was known as "beau Cajun" or the "artist of the Cajuns", and he specialized in drawings depicting Cajun culture, lifestyle and family, particularly scenes from the first half of the 20th century.
