Members of FLUID included Tedd Arnold on lead Vocals and flute, Mike Christopher (who played the Hare Krishna Zombie in George Romero's "Dawn Of The Dead" (1978)) on keyboards, David "Styckz" Hayden on organ and string synthesizer, Michael James (who played the Bald Red Sweatered Zombie in our four heroes' battle scene in Monroeville Mall in "Dawn Of The Dead" (1978)) on bass, John Paul Musser a.k.a. John Paul (who played the Bald Plaid-Shirted Zombie in airport chart house in "Dawn Of The Dead" (1978), who also appears on the film's posters, video, DVD, and soundtrack album covers, and some of Romero's "Day of the Dead" (1985)'s releases) on saxophone and clarinet, and Mike's youngest brother Arl Christopher on drums and percussions. Back in 1973, Tedd Arnold answered an ad that was posted in the Pittsburgh Press from a band called Sunnn that was looking for a lead singer. He went in, auditioned, and later he finally joined the band. The other members of the band included Mike Christopher (who played the Hare Krishna Zombie in George Romero's "Dawn Of The Dead" (1978). And who had previously played for the Space-Themed Rock band UFO from 1972-1973) on keyboards, David "Styckz" Hayden on organ and string synthesizer, Michael James (who played the Bald Red Sweatered Zombie in our four heroes' battle scene in Monroeville Mall in "Dawn Of The Dead" (1978)) on bass, John Paul Musser a.k.a. John Paul (who played the Bald Plaid-Shirted Zombie in airport chart house in "Dawn Of The Dead" (1978), who also appears on the film's posters, video, DVD, and soundtrack album covers, and some of Romero's "Day of the Dead" (1985)'s releases) on saxophone and clarinet, and Mike's youngest brother Arl Christopher on drums and percussions. Then the musicians started playing together as a Cover Rock band called Changes. They played from 1973-1976 at The Lounge Circuit and Rock Bars for a while. They did lots of awesome smashing covers of music by Elton John, Aerosmith, The J. Geils Band, Ben E. King and many more spectacular artists and bands. They considered adapting a well known children's story for a while but that morphed into the next reincarnation of the Bald Space-Themed Rock band FLUID. Then Changes later evolved into the Theatrical Space-Themed Rock band Fluid. The musicians in the band shaved their heads and they all started wearing multi-colored makeup and dressed up in unitards to look more like a mixture between Aliens and Androids. They performed in Pittsburgh, Homestead and Meyersdale, Pennsylvania from 1976-1979. Fluid later composed the music for Lenny Lies and Mickey Lies' short experimental independent movie soundtracks "Headprints" and "A Ride Through The Fields" in 1977. The band also starred in "Headprints" itself as Aliens. Mickey Lies was actually responsible for taking a "Fluid" band promo shot to George Romero's people. They were rehearsing and performing their concerts in the New Leona Theater in Homestead, Pennsylvania where Joe Shelby (who played Martinez, the Puerto Rican Ghetto Gang Leader & the Biker, Van Driver (wearing cowboy hat & glasses) in "Dawn of the Dead" (1978)) managed the bar next door. Also Joe Shelby managed the Leona Theater and the band for a while. Around that time and lots of the people associated with the New Leona were involved with "Dawn Of The Dead" (1978). And that's how Paul, Mike, and Michael got the parts for playing Bald Zombies in "Dawn Of The Dead" itself. In their first concert, The bald headed Multi-colored beings started playing their original songs "Passage", beginning with "Angels Of Peace", the six Musicians showed their dynamic style and chrisma, hypnotizing their audience with a multi-media light show and haunting ever-changing melodies. During their other song, "Children Of The Sun", the whole stage exploded and the power that the band had was unreleased. FLUID had truly established themselves as a band that had a bright future ahead of it. They released their albums on Tapes and LP Vinyl Records. Then after FLUID had disbanded in 1979, Tedd Arnold then formed and started singing and playing back in the 1980s with a local Progressive Rock band called Radian. He nowadays sings, plays keyboards and guitar in his present Progressive Rock/NewAge band The Anagram Principle and performs solo at the same time. Mike Christopher started electronics school. He was also performing laser light shows for Laserium at the Buhl Planetarium while going to electronics school. Around 1980, he moved to Los Angeles to travel for Laserium then, in 1983, worked for Oberheim Electronics making synthesizers, sequencers and drum machines. He thought about trying to get into films when he lived in Los Angeles but he couldn't get a union card since he didn't have a speaking role in "Dawn Of The Dead". He performed laser light shows for Laserium and Laser Media, for bands Tangerine Dream and New Kids On The Block. Heavily interested in technology, he spent the next 2 decades with Oberheim Electronics as a Quality Technician and Studio Musician, Color Systems Technology as an animator, freelancing in Hollywood and Burbank as a quality technician for Videotape mastering and finally digitizing film and shooting EFX back to 35mm. He nowadays has been acting in more films and composing music for movie soundtracks. Styckz Hayden did engineering for the Hardcore band Initial Reaction on their self-titled album back in 1990. Then two years later, he did engineering for the Heavy Metal band Phantasm on their album "From The Attic" (1992). Michael James started working a job at The Seven Springs Resort in Seven Springs, Pennsylvania. Paul Musser left to join the Army band. He now works at Veterans Place of Washington Boulevard in Pittsburgh. And Arl Christopher retired from playing with bands and then years later became a grandpa.
