Flux A.D.

Band,
Singer / Musician of Rock

Flux A.D. burst out onto the Hamilton music scene back in 1997 with their EP, "Lucky Seven". The band blends alternative rock with layered, dreamy, synth-pop. Julie MacDonald`s beautiful vocals echo over the blazing guitars of co-founding member, Bill Majoros. Graham Walsh, Joel Stouffer, and Erin Aurich, have helped to add more focus to the band's sound. Toronto's alternative weekly, "Eye" deemed Flux A.D. one of the best new artists in 1999. For their first full length album, "Passive Aggressive" (1999) they had the opportunity to record in Grant Avenue recording studio, which was started by producer,Daniel Lanois (who has worked with U2). Their follow EP, "Obsessive Compulsive"(2000), was rated the #1 album of the year by 93.3 CFMU (McMaster University/community radio) in 2000. With the release of their 2nd full length album, "Transatlanticthoughts", Flux A.D. has become Hamilton's uber group and quite possibly, the Canadian rock scene's best kept secret. Please note: The members of Flux a.d. are currently pursuing other projects since 2005. Most notably, Jule MacDonald (now known as Julie Fader) is a touring member of Sarah Harmer's band and is pursuing her own solo career. Fellow founding member, Bill Majoros has started his own solo project called The Foreign Films. Although the band has never officially announced being disbanded, it is a safe to assume that they are. But who knows what the distant future may hold.
