b : July 10, 1926 in Hughes, Arkansas (USA) d : 1960 He flef Arkansas for Chicago where Sonny Boy Williamson took him under his wing. He led a band with Muddy Waters. Back in Arkansas, he was rediscovered by Alan Lomax in 1959. He would surely have taken part in the blues revival but was killed in a car crash in 1960.
