Track 3 is inspired by the song "C'est beau la vie" by Jean Ferrat The album was first announced in November of 1997, immediately after the release and success of L'album Du Peuple Volume 1, scheduled to be released in the fall of 1998. The release was put off and forgotten until three years later. Special release comprised of songs from L'album du Peuple Tome 1-5, re-recorded for France. The CD was released through EMI Music France in Europe and Zero Musique in Canada. Initially it was announced that the album would not be released in Quebec. But it was eventually released in a limited pressing. Copyrights on the CD artwork are registered to 2001, but the album was released in January of 2002.
