"In Quattro ("in four") is a drums quartet. The tracks in the album are unedited takes, chosen from a much longer improvisation session, recorded and produced in the most transparent way to mimic the peculiar live setting: from left to right, you will hear the chirurgic drum'n bass drumming of Brian Quinn, on a bare drumkit; the savvy mixture of classical jazz drumming and percussions of Francesco D'Auria; the experimental kit of Davide Merlino, with a prepared vibraphone and lots of ethnic colours; the eclectic playing of Andrea Cocco, augmented by sublte electronics."
