Singer / Musician / Composer / Producer of Rock and Pop
Francisco Belisario (singer, guitarist, composer, producer) is a name that is associated with the birth and evolution of rock in Venezuela. Born in Maracaibo (Zulia state). From an early age shows his inclinations and musical talent and is part of two fundamental groups within the Venezuelan music scene: The Flippers and The Impala; with these last ones it reaches the national and international success and participates in all the recordings realized by the band between 1963 and 1969. After the separation of the Impala, continues tied to the musical world through works of production, composition and interpretation of jingles and edits the album Hermano Querido (1977), of which three singles are published. Later he published the recording Como Quieres Que Te Que (1980) in which he oriented his sound towards the traditional bolero genre. Starting in the nineties, he participated in the Los Impala meeting and, already entering the 21st century, produced the female band Geva. In March 2009, at the age of 64, his physical disappearance occurred and after him there was a musical legacy that would be indelible within Venezuelan rock and pop. He died on March 23, 2009 at the Adolfo Pons hospital of respiratory failure.
