Puerto Rican folk musician, composer, orchestra director, musicologist and teacher of traditional Puerto Rican music. known as “Paquito” López Cruz has played in the the Cuarteto Victoria, group led by Rafael Hernández, then has led different groups like Orquesta Jíbara or Paquito Lopez Cruz Ensemble. He studied in Puerto Rico, New York and Madrid and got a PhD. He wrote several books related to Puerto Rican folk music. (Naranjito, Dec. 1907 - San Juan, 15 de Dec. 1988)
