Frank-Lorenz Engel was born in 1961 in Paris and is a German actor, director, author and translator. He studied in Saarbrücken at the "Hochschule für Musik und Theater" and after that had engagements at the national theatres in Saarbrücken, Oldenburg and Mayence. He is best known as the German voice of the lion Simba in the Disney animated motion picture "The Lion King".
