The German musician, composer and producer – honoured with the “Goldene Europa” – vaunted as German Musical composer with “World Format” – has after more than 1,4 million sold tickets set new Impulses for European Musicals and revue with his works like “Elements”, “Hexen”, “Hänsel&Gretel” (Berlin Friedrichstadtpalast), “POE” (Saarbrücken, Munich), “Paradise of Pain” (Saarbrücken, Trier), “Arena” or “Snowhite” (both in Saarbrücken). His interpretation of “The ring of the Nibelungs” – DER RING – was performed first at the Bonn Opera and will be back on stage at the Saarland State Theatre in October 2008 and in Munich (Deutsches Theater) from May 2009. Frank Nimsgern wrote more than about a dozen film musics (under this 8 times for the “Tatort”) and advertising trailer (under this Carlsberg U.S.A., Peugeot, Schwartau, Karlsberg, Langnese). He was musical director for “Chaka Khan” of 1994 to 1996. As a Session musician he played in over 35 albums and about 1500 concerts for example with Gino Vannelli, Billy Cobham, Pete York, Superdrumming, John Lord. With his own band “The Frank Nimsgern Group” he travelled through almost all continents of this earth with an award in Jakarta. The title song for the daily show of Siegfried and Roy in Las Vegas “Can you see the light” was written by him. His musical in cooperation with H.R. Kunze “Poe” was honoured repeatedly. As a musical director/supervisor he was workingly for example in London (Frank Farians “Daddy Cool” – consultant), Las Vegas, Bonn Opera Munich (Tollwood), Berlin (Friedrichstadtpalast / Classic Open Air) and at the Saarland state theatre (5 productions). Frank Nimsgerns next world premiere after “DER RING” (Bonn opera, Saarland State Theatre, Deutsches Theater München) was the Musical “Phantasma” played from November 2009 at the Saarland State Theatre. The world premiere of the orchestral suite composed by him “Ocean of Love”, the anthem of the luxury liner “MyShip”, was sung and recoreded by opera star Anna Netrebko. Anna Netrebko could be won for the first time for the work of contemporary composers. “Ocean of Love” is part of the album Aqua, which was produced by Frank Nimsgern exclusively for TUI Cruises with the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg. PHANTASMA was called Nimsgerns musical, which premiered on 7 November 2009 at the Saarland State Theatre celebrated. The Opernnetz wrote about PHANTASMA ” Musical today must be played like this”. The Newspaper SZ commented “Nimsgerns yet richest, most entertaining and sophisticated composition.” Until the end of June 2010, visitors could the Berlin Friedrichstadtpalast of his compositions in the fantastic world of – get abducted “Qi – A Palace Fantasy”. The press and public alike acclaimed show moved to the present day more than 550,000 visitors. From 22 May 2011 was Nimsgern “SnoWhite” daily listed on the “My Ship 2″ TUI Cruises fleet of ships with Hannelore Elsner. Likewise, he wrote and produced the title track video for the CARE aid organization with Jessi from No Angels, Sven Martinek, Klaus Wowereit. October 2011, together with Sebastian Welker he brought a new “RockyHorror Show” reloaded version on stage of the State Theatre. On 2 September 2012 there will be the premiere a completely redesigned version of “SnoWhite” in opera house in Bonn. “SnoWhite” at Theater Bonn will be the first co-production of a national theater with Nimsgern own production company OnStage.
