Fred Anderson (born March 22, 1929, Monroe, Louisiana, USA - died June 24, 2010, Evanston, Illinois, USA) was an American jazz tenor saxophonist, founding member of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians (AACM) and a jazz club owner (most notably, The Velvet Lounge, Chicago).
