Brooklyn, New York born Ghanaian hip-hop artist who grew up in London, U.K. where he formed part of the group Party À La Mazon (PLZ) together with fellow Ghanaian rapper Reggie Rockstone and DJ Pogo. He later returned to Accra, Ghana where he continued his career before becoming a minister. Both Freddie Funkstone and Reggie Rockstone are considered pioneers of the hiplife movement. A style blending hip-hop with Ghanaian highlife music.
