Vocalist and erhu, or Chinese violin, player for the Taiwanese Black Metal band, ChthoniC. Freddy is also the Chairman of Amnesty International Taiwan and prominent member of Taiwanese New Power Party. In the 2016 legislative election on January 16th he won his constituency (Taipei City 5th) and thus became a member of the 9th Legislative Yuan (Taiwanese unicameral parliament).
