Fredegond Cecily Shove (/ˈfrɛdɪɡɒnd ˈʃoʊvv/ FRED-igond-SHOHV) (née Maitland, 1889–1949) was an English poet.Fredegond was the daughter of the legal historian Frederic William Maitland and his wife Florence Henrietta Fisher. She married the economist Gerald Shove.In 1918, the publisher, B.H. Blackwell, released a volume of Fredegond's poems, Dreams and Journeys.Leonard and Virginia Woolf's Hogarth Press published Fredegond's book of poems, Daybreak, in 1922.She is buried with her husband in the Parish of the Ascension Burial Ground in Cambridge.
