Frederic Jay

Born in 1981, Frederic Jay developed a passion for DJing at the age of 12. His passion for Electronic Dance Music grew with him as he sought further knowledge in a music-related field. In 1998, he began a college education in sound reinforcement at the Recording Arts of Canada. Afterwards, Frederic Jay worked as a sound engineer for many venues and artists while he was continuing to spin records for his own pleasure. Using his talent earned in sound techniques and DJ experiences, Frederic Jay started to produce his own music material in collaboration with Franck Further in 2004. Two years later, he was accepted in the electro-acoustic composition program of Montréal Music Conservatory. He now applies the advanced techniques and musical knowledge he learned while studying to his new compositions.
