A.k.a. Carl Albrecht C-Fremen
Fremen Production was actively involved in the underground music scene in Cape Town, South Africa between 1993 - 2000. His first live performances were at the age of 16 as vocalist for an industrial metal band, Eraserhead. In 1996 he founded the electronica group Mo-Fi Tuesday with whom he would perform at various venues in Cape Town between 1997-1998. In 1999 Carl and Mo-Fi member Eaton Crous started collaborating under a new alias, "Fremen", specifically concentrating on Drum ´n Bass production and live performances. At the beginning of 2000, Carl relocated to Berlin, Germany where after seven years he compiled "Detach", an 11 track LP of IDM tracks that marked the first release on his label, Desert Planet Recordings. In 2013 he released "Random Mutations", a 10 track LP of previously unreleased IDM tracks accompanied by an animated short, "Jumper". In 2017 he collaborated with Mo-Fi member Jurgen Kuhnel, AKA ColonelJ to introduce FPXCJ, the moniker under which they would release their first 9 track IDM album titled "XOPLNTS".
